कोरोना संकटासाठी ‘भगीरथ’ची सामाजिक कृतज्ञता निधी योजना

अशा प्रकारच्या संकटामध्ये समाजातील वंचित घटकांपर्यंत पोचण्यासाठी ‘भगीरथ’ने निधीची तरतूद करून ‘शिदोरी वितरण योजना’ कार्यान्वित केली. गावातील कार्यकर्ते या कुटुंबांपर्यंत पोचून मदत कार्य करत आहेत. लमाणी समाज, कातकरी, रोजंदारीवर काम करणारे लोक, विधवा, अपंग या साऱ्यांना मदतीचा हात ‘भगीरथ’ देत आहे.

साधारणपणे १५ दिवसांचा शिधा देण्यासाठी १,०००/- रुपये लागतात. सुदैवाने सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्ह्यामध्ये Positive रुग्णांचे प्रमाण कमी आहे. मुंबई व गोव्याशी असलेला संपर्क लक्षात घेता सतर्कताही तेवढीच गरजेची आहे. येथे एकूण ५०० कुटुंबांपर्यंत मदतीचा हात द्यावा लागेल असे आत्ताचे आमचे अनुमान आहे.

Bhagirath's Social Gratitude Fund in the time of Corona

Amidst the panic around Corona, Bhagirath Gramwikas Pratishthan initiated distribution of essential commodities. The various activists of the Pratishthan are reaching out to the deprived class of daily wage earners, widows and the physically challenged. Bhagirath is helping them all.

Essential commodities for around two weeks cost up to 1,000 rupees. Fortunately Sindhudurg has less number of positive patients of corona. Considering our proximity to Goa and our connectivity to Mumbai, we have to take necessary care and be alert. Our current estimate is that around 500 families in the vicinity will need such help.
