UPNRM अभ्यासासाठी आफ्रिकन देशांचा अभ्यासदौरा

      दिनांक १८ नोव्हेंबर २०१९ रोजी GIZ दिल्ली यांच्या पुढाकारातून नायजेरिया, झाम्बिया, कोस्टारीका या आफ्रिकन देशातील ११ प्रतिनिधी ‘भगीरथ प्रतिष्ठान’च्या शाश्वत विकास अभ्यासदौऱ्यामध्ये सहभागी झाले होते. गरीब शेतकऱ्यांना बायोगॅस, कुक्कुटपालन, दुग्धव्यवसाय यासाठी UPNRM या प्रकल्पातून केलेल्या कर्ज पुरवठ्यामुळे उपजीविकेची साधने कशी निर्माण झाली हा अभ्यासदौराचा हेतू होता. SRI पद्धतीने केलेल्या भात पिक लागवडीची पाहणी करण्यात आली. या पद्धतीमुळे प्रती गुंठा ४५ किलो उत्पादनावरून ८० ते १०० किलो एवढे भाताचे अधिक उत्पादन मिळते.


            विकासाच्या प्रक्रियेमध्ये तंत्रज्ञानाचा अवलंब करताना सुलभ कर्ज पुरवठा हा महत्त्वाचा ठरतो. कर्ज फेडीनंतर उपजीविकेचे साधन तर निर्माण होते, पण त्याचबरोबर शेतकऱ्याची बँकेमध्ये पत वाढते. या प्रकल्पामध्ये अनुदान (सबसिडी) आधारित विकासापेक्षा कर्जाधारित विकास अपेक्षित होता. एकूण ६ कोटी रुपयांचे कर्ज बायोगॅस, कुक्कुटपालन, दुग्धव्यवसाय यासाठी देण्यात आले. कर्जाची परतफेड १००% झाली. त्यामुळे ही यशोगाथा सर्वदूर पसरत आहे.

         निवजे गावातील सौ. ज्योती पावसकर, श्री. अभय परब, कृषी अधिकारी श्री. निलेश उगवेकर यांनी माहिती दिली. नाबार्डचे जिल्हा प्रबंधक श्री. अजय थुटे, जिल्हा बँकेचे श्री. प्रमोद गावडे यावेळी उपस्थित होते.

African Representatives and the UPNRM Study Tour

As an initiative by GIZ, Delhi, representatives of African countries giz. Nigeria, Zambia and Costa Rica visited Bhagirath Gramvikas Pratishthan during a day's study tour. The purpose of the study tour was to understand first hand the sustainable development model and how the loans distributed to poor farmers through the UPNRM scheme for Biogas, Hatchery and milch products created more avenues of livelihood for them. The representatives visited and observed the SRI method of Rice Cropping. The SRI method has been instrumental in increasing the production hugely in numbers. The produce which was limited to 45 Kg per Guntha has increased to 80 to 100 kg per Guntha.

Hassle free loan supply enables inculcating technology in the process of development. Once the loan is repaid, it does not only open new avenues for the farmers but it also improves theircredt rating with the bank. The scheme's thrust was on loan based development than the subsidy based development. Loans worth 6 crores were distributed for Biogas, Hatchery and milch products. All the loans were repaid on schedule. This has been the trending success story now.

Mrs. Jyoti Pawaskar, Mr. Abhay Parab of Nivaje, agriculture officer and Mr. Nilesh Ugavekar interacted and shared their experiences with the participants on the tour. District Manager, NABARD, Mr. Ajay Thute and Mr. Pramod Gavade of District Co-operative Bank were also present at the event.
